3.Pet Deterrent

In addition toeliminating pet odors, vinegar can deter your furry friends fromgnawing on your lovely living room furniture. Vinegar and lemon inspray bottle keep pets from chewing furniture.

4.Anti-Fungal Agent

Vinegar can helpbanish various fungal problems. Vinegar can be used to kill toefungi! Soak the foot in a pan of warm water and vinegar daily forseveral months. Works! Do you suffer from swimmer's ear? An ENTsuggested that after swimming use a mixture that is half whitevinegar and half rubbing alcohol and put it in your ear for a fewseconds. The vinegar is an a anti-fungal and the alcohol kills germs.

5.Hard Water Stains/Mineral Build-up Remover

There are manyways to use vinegar in the kitchen, including cleaning pots,stainless steel and hot water kettles. I usually vinegar to cleanlime off my electric kettle; just add 20ml of vinegar to the kettle,fill it up with water and switch on the kettle, and ta-da! The limeis gone!

6.Heartburn Reliever

Suffering fromheartburn? Vinegar works awesome for heart burn. It neutralizes thestomach acid. It's the best heartburn medication ever. 1 tsp in aglass of water.

7.Gnat and Flea Catcher

Having a problemwith gnats? Put about 1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar in a cup and add a few drops of dish soap, and leave the cup sitting around. Thegnats are attracted to the vinegar, and the dish soap will kill them.A similar trick works for catching fleas put vinegar out in a whitecontainer: Fleas are attracted to white, use white foam plates andthey will jump in there and drown. Also, you can spray it oncarpets.(check for color fast before using on carpets vinegar acts asa bleach)

8.Ironing Aide

Use plain whitevinegar to set or remove creases in clothing, just put some in aspritzer bottle, lightly spray the area, then press. It doesn't leaveyour clothes stiff like spray starch and the smell disappears withthe steam. Works great!

9.Ant Deterrent

If you're lookingfor a humane way to get rid of ants, vinegar will do the job: Usevinegar to clean away ants. It may not kill the little buggers but itdisrupts their sense of smell enough that they cannot find theirneeded foods and go away.

10.Hair Conditioner and Product Remover

Use vinegar forvarious hair care needs. My hairdresser advised me to rinse my hairwith a little white vinegar and water mixture to remove all of theremnants of hair products after washing it. I tried it and it renewedthe shine in my hair, as well. Great advice. Apple cider vinegar is agreat alternative to a cream rinse: Mix 1 cup vinegar to a gallon ofwarm water and pour over your hair to as a detangler...works great!

There are so many things in life to be thankful for that they are too numerous to list. I am appreciative of the love of friends and neighbors, those who show they care through unseen and unspoken acts of kindness. For the support of family far and near. I am grateful that we are employed and have all the abundant comforts of home,commodities and even some of our wants fulfilled. For our blended step family who are now at long last mature enough to be civil and get along. Even a few that choose to call the other by the address of brother or sister. For our newly adopted daughter, we are beginning all over again and it is a beautiful thing! I never got to see my darling hubby with an infant, watching him with her only endears my heart to him more. It is exciting to have a child that doesn't evoke a yours and mine attitude, wow what a huge difference this alone makes. Oh sure, there are plenty of things to worry about and get bogged down about, but we deal with those in faith, hope and love. All is as it should be, the way God intended. We feel his blessing in our lives and relish the love and care he bestows upon us daily. True this nation is going off in a direction that frightens many, yet we take comfort that what ever comes whatever occurs happens for a reason, I believe God is at the helm and no matter the size of storm or white squall we will find something good of it. What we put out into the universe will return upon us a thousand fold. I choose to love and forgive and be patient with human beings, we are not any of us finished products, we are as God's sons and daughters a work in progress, we are all loved by God unfeigned. May the choicest blessings be at your Thanksgiving table and always.

Well, it has been a month since I created my first post. Laura says "Mommy you should write again" So at her request I have been exploring how to post all by myself, not that I am completely computer illiterate, but also a bit shy about this community thought/feeling share stuff.
I fear I will be a bore to all who visit my blog. Bare with I hope to get the hang of it soon.
Dropped 5.1 lbs Equal to One Sack of Potatoes!

Like many of you I too have been trying to lose a few pounds. I successfully dropped 5.1 lbs last month. Slow going but I like it that way.
My mature and experienced advice girls?... Lose it now while you are under 30.
After 30 it is like trying to get the last dab of peanut butter from the bottom of the jar with a short spoon, it can be done, it is frustrating but well worth the persistence!
